Whole Wheat Dosa (Atta Ka Cheela) Whole Wheat Dosa is a super quick and easy recipe. It is another version of the South Indian dosa. This recipe is a special one as it was my mother's favorite, although this was known as Atta Ka Cheela in my home. These can be had for Breakfast or even Dinner.

To get started with this particular recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook aata/wholewheat dosas using 12 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Aata/Wholewheat Dosas:
  1. Make ready 1 1/2 cups Sharbati Aata
  2. Make ready 1 tsp Salt or to taste
  3. Prepare 1 tsp Red Chilli powder or to taste
  4. Prepare 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  5. Take 1 Onion finely chopped
  6. Get 1 Capsicum finely chopped
  7. Prepare 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  8. Make ready 1 tsp Dry Mango powder or Amchur
  9. Take 3-4 Green Chillies finely chopped
  10. Take 1 small bunch Coriander Leaves finely chopped
  11. Get Water as required
  12. Take Oil as required

Being fans of fermented dosa, there are some instant dosa recipes too that we like e.g. Instant dosa, Rava dosa, Oats dosa etc. This instant atta dosa is also a favorite. Wheat dosa is a thin instant crepe made with whole wheat flour or atta, spices & herbs.

Steps to make Aata/Wholewheat Dosas:
  1. Mix all the mentioned ingredients to a semi thick batter just like that of a normal Dosa batter. It should be of a flowing consistency.
  2. Keep aside for about 15 minutes. Heat a tawa or an iron griddle. Pour a medium sized ladleful of the batter and spread evenly. Do not add much force. Do it slowly. It's not at all difficult to spread.
  3. Smear with Oil and drizzle some even on the sides. Cover and cook on both the sides until crisp for 2-3 minutes each. Serve hot immediately with your favourite Chutney.

This instant atta dosa is also a favorite. Wheat dosa is a thin instant crepe made with whole wheat flour or atta, spices & herbs. This instant atta dosa is quick to make for an healthy breakfast or a meal with some easy chutney. This recipe yields crispy wheat flour dosas and it can be used to make wheat uttapam as well. To get the thin and crisp texture little rice flour is used.
